Every year the first Sunday of August is celebrated as Friendship Day. It is the time to cherish those unconditional loves that the friends bestow on each other throughout the year.

About Friendship Day

The tradition was initiated in 1935 by the US Congress as the National Friendship Day. The purpose was to celebrate the importance of friendship and the role friends play in each other’s life.
